Kenni Psenak

Wildfire Outreach & Communications Manager

Biography

Kenni is an interdisciplinary communicator with a background in behavior change marketing, crisis communications, public health communications and community outreach tailored for Alaska audiences. She previously developed and managed public, private and nonprofit statewide marketing campaigns at an Indigenous-led and justice-focused advertising agency in Anchorage, Alaska. Kenni specializes in collaborative relationship building and built wide-ranging advocacy coalitions across Southcentral Alaska through her organizing work with Planned Parenthood.

Kenni completed the BLM’s 2024 Women in Wildland Fire Bootcamp and holds a wildland fire Red Card. She has a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Naropa University and studied in Boulder, CO and Pushkar, India, before returning home to Alaska in 2013. Kenni was born and raised in Palmer, Alaska–where five generations of her family have had the privilege to call home–and lives in Palmer on Ahtna and Dena’ina land. She can often be found in Hatcher Pass with her family.
